KCGS 2026 Field Trips
Thursday, May 21 at 10:00
Field Trip to Molstead Library on NIC Campus
Please join us for a guided tour of the Research Room. We will also be presenting the Hayden history book that we learned about last November. The final title for the book is Ordinary People, Extraordinary Lives - A History of Hayden, Idaho, and the Surrounding Area. Authors Barbara Bennett and Judy Eichelberger will be on hand to sign copies. We have invited the Coeur d’Alene Press to the event.
Wednesday, June 17
Field Trip to U of I in Moscow
We will be going to visit the archives and special collections department at the University of Idaho in Moscow. The University of Idaho Special Collections and Archives houses historical documents, rare books, photographs, and records focusing on Idaho and the Pacific Northwest. Along with U of I history and Idaho's mining and forestry industry, it also includes the premier jazz archive in the Pacific Northwest.
We will meet with Kelley Moulton, Archivist and Special Collections Librarian. She will talk to us about how to research the collections, and then we will tour where the records are stored in the basement.
